Burj Mubarak, the World's Tallest Building

History of Kuwait

Kuwait is a small country in the Middle East that borders Saudi Arabia to the south and Iraq to the north. It has a long history, with traces of human occupancy dating back to 4,000 BCE.

Kuwait was a small fishing and commercial port for many years, and the majority of its citizens worked in the maritime industry. However the Al-Sabah family, who were from central Arabia, arrived in Kuwait at the beginning of the 18th century and took over as the country's governing family.

Kuwait developed as a hub for trade under the Al-Sabah's, especially in pearls and other products from the Persian Gulf. Kuwait was established a British protectorate in the late 19th century; this status persisted until Kuwait's independence in 1961.

Kuwait's recent history has been characterised by both prosperous and turbulent eras. Due to its abundant oil reserves, the nation's economy grew quickly throughout the 1950s and 1960s. The Gulf War and a period of instability followed the invasion of Kuwait by Iraq in 1990, which put an end to this prosperity.

Kuwait has since concentrated on re-establishing its society and economy. Its economy has grown to be broad, with sectors like finance, construction, and telecommunications. With a more open society and a powerful parliament, Kuwait has also achieved improvements to its social and political environment.

Worlds Tallest Building in Kuwait

Kuwait will host the construction of the Burj Mubarak, which will be the highest building in the world. The enormous project, which is projected to cost over $15 billion, would be located in Kuwait City's central business district and would reach a dizzying height of 1,001 metres.

The Burj Mubarak will be built by the renowned architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, which is also well-known for its earlier work on iconic skyscrapers including the One World Trade Center in New York City and the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. There will be ample space in the 234-floor building for 12,000 inhabitants and visitors.

The Burj Mubarak would stand at an astounding height and include a shopping centre, a five-star hotel, offices, homes, and a rooftop restaurant with a breathtaking view of the city. The building will contain energy-efficient elements like solar panels, a rainwater collection system, and a high-performance façade.

The project will boost Kuwait's economy by creating numerous job opportunities for both domestic and foreign workers. The Burj Mubarak will be taller than other well-known skyscrapers like the Burj Khalifa and the Shanghai Tower by the time it opens in 2028.

Burj Mubarak will undoubtedly position Kuwait as a world leader in cutting-edge architecture and design. The project is expected to draw visitors from all over the world and significantly aid Kuwait City's development as a travel destination.
